Of Quotations

I was randomly browsing through the web when I stumbled on this;

Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps, if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love or have babies or be who we are
- Michael Patrick King, Sex and the City, I Heart NY,2002

Interesting.No?
Perhaps it is interesting to me because I have always looked at it from the other side.I have always thought that our fate may be shaped our actions.Or the lack of it.

But ... our mistakes?
Indeed. It might be our mistakes that are slowly guiding us. Slowly shaping our fate.

And this;

Seasons change, so do cities. People come into your life and people go, but it's comforting to know: the ones you love are always in your heart and if you're very lucky, a plane ride away.
- Michael Patrick King, Sex and the City, I Heart NY, 2002

Cliche.And perhaps a tad "out-dated".But love it nonetheless.

And finally this;

That's the key to having it all: stop expecting it to look like what you thought it was going to look like.
- Cindy Chupack, Sex and the City, Plus One Is The Loneliest Number, 2002

All true.I can't agree with it more.
A lot of the times when I find myself angry, disappointed, sad, unhappy or just feeling moody ... I realized that it is usually, if not always, because of expectations that I have.
And I can't help but wonder, what if I just stop expecting it to be perfect?

It will certainly cool down my temperature a lot.

Having expectations is not a wrong thing.
But by not having any, and just let the other party be ... perhaps that is really the key to have it all.

Nights.
