Of the city of architecture - Chicago

8 hours. Yup.
That was how long it took for me to travel from Des Moines to Chicago by bus.
Although I took the night bus, it was still a restless travel. You see, I was sitting the aisle sit, and beside me is this African American guy with huge bulging arms. I can't imagine what would happen if I accidentally lay my head on his shoulder. Probably I would have travel Chicago with a broken neck?
Plus the seat was pretty tight. And the road was pretty shaky.
*Sigh*

Anyway, apart from the terrible bus seat and the terrible 8 hours of bus travel, everything else about Chicago was superb!

When I arrived around 8a.m, I was picked up by my hostess - Xin Yi and Ying Bing, who graciously helped provide me accomodation. I bunked mostly at the Delta Tau Delta (a fraternity) house's storeroom. Yup. Storeroom. Oh, there was bed there.
It was pretty nice frankly speaking. =P
Anyway, I had to save money, so no complains even if it was bad. A week stay in a motel in Chicago would have make me super broke.

We visited Millenium Park after lunch in the afternoon. Hmm, I don't know why exactly it is a tourist attraction, but the park is pretty huge. There are quite a few "artistic" pieces here and there. We took some pictures here and there.

I always look awkward taking pictures. What to do, I am just not photogenic I guess.

Ok. Awkward. Again.

We took this one using the reflection off Cloud Gate a.k.a "The Bean". It is actually a super huge metal sculpture. Supposedly, it is one of the tourist draw in Chicago, and I have no idea why. It just a huge ellipse metal sculpture. And yes, there were a lot of people around "The Bean". Including me. Hmmm...

I told them I felt weird taking photos alone. Hence X.Yi was forced to take this with me.

Weird.

A huge block of ice with lots of LED in them.

The picture above is actually showing a huge block of ice, or rather some sort of fountain made up of a lot of ice blocks. And on this particular side of the "fountain", there is actually a lot of LED in it that creates the image you see.
Super chio right?
I was totally impressed. Am still totally impressed.

I am not sure whether I am allowed to step onto that piece of thing.
