Was called into a meeting to review some process earlier today. Point of the meeting is not important.
What is important is that at one point, when my efficiency was called into question, the person whom I have been working closely with jumped to my defense.
Honestly?
I am pretty touched by his gesture and defense.
In a sense, I am glad I didn't give way to the hard-cold reality of the corporate world. Something like that would make me think upholding my integrity and ideal is still worth it, despite facing the possibility of being ridiculed and being called naive.
So be it. Naive I shall be. And ridicule I will receive.
Corporate world ain't a total bitch after all.
