Of Sleepy.Waiting.Leg Cramp.

Of all the places in the world that I could be, I am betting that you won't be able to guess where I am right now. And what I am doing at this ungodly hour. Typing away on someone's else laptop.

I am at the hospital. Take a deep breath. No. It is not me. *choi*! *Touch wood*!
I am accompanying a friend. He had minor stomach ache in the afternoon which developed into acute pain in the evening. After undergoing the CAT scan, it seems like he has appendicitis. And according to the resident doctor, they are going to do some laparoscopic surgery.

So yes. I was trying to find some entertainment. I played "Who got the biggest brain" on Facebook for several hours before finally admitting that I am at my limits. I mean seriously. In the analyzing stage where they drop the cube and you count it ... I actually took more than 10 seconds to register 3 cubes in my head. Moral of the story: Lack of sleep can cause you to be slower and dumber.

The doctor said that they are going to perform the surgery within the next hour or so. So right now, I am just sitting here waiting with nothing to do, and not knowing what to do. I got a leg cramp on my left leg because of my sitting position.

The nurses are kind of cute (*erm ... just kidding dear) busy with patients. Seems like it is a busy night. My friend actually waited in serious acute pain for 3 hours! before they actually "admitted" him. We were planning to sue the hospital in case anything happened to him. The auntie sitting in the front desk won't help their case much with her lan si attitude.

So yes. I am waiting. Hopefully everything goes well. Even though it's a minor (easy - according to the resident doctor) surgery, there are still certain risks involved.

I miss the bed already.
