Of Interesting Article

My finance professor posts some rather funky links on his website.
His interest is in finance, science and all things Star Trek.

The latest link provided was this - Physicists investigate "best friends forever" which was kind of interesting. In a gist, a physicist and a sociologist was trying to investigate the persistence of relationships within the cell phone network. And according to the article,

"Somewhat intuitively, they found that the leading cause of persistent relationships is reciprocity - returning a friend's call. The results showed that the strongest factor determining persistence value was when individuals returned calls to each other."

Which kind of makes sense. I don't return call people I don't like. I call back when I see a missed call by someone I think I would like to talk to. Hmmm ...

On a different note, I found this news - Stock trading is much too macho, researcher says.
According to the article,

"Those with higher level of testosterone in the morning were more likely to make an unusually big profit that day."

And another article which kind of link porn to finance - Sex and Greed Linked in the Brain
Interesting.
