Of the city of architecture - Chicago III

The previous post actually kind of conclude my first day in Chicago. After touring the Art Institute of Chicago, I actually had dinner with a bunch of them at a restaurant in Chinatown called "Penang".

Side note: To all you lucky ass who can get cheap good Malaysian food, give thanks for such blessing.
*sigh*
You never know how much you miss something till you are actually stripped of it.

I miss kambing rendang. A lot.
The thought of it is already making me drool. Dang.

There are some dishes that are actually quite ridiculously priced in "Penang"; USD 3.00 for a Roti Kosong, USD 4.95 for a Roti Telur (if I am not wrong).
Ridiculous right?
USD 3.oo for a roti kosong!
Wah lau! Might as well rob la.

But to be fair, "Penang" does serve some decent Malaysian food. Like the kangkung belacan. The char kuew teow. Shoot. Think I must stop talking about it. I am drooling as I write.
Yes, I shall conclude my first day at Chicago then.

On the second day, we actually went to another university at the other part of the town. One of the guy - Kuhan was suppose to meet up with this friend of his at Northwestern University.
And I am totally totally in awe of the university.

Why?
1. It is situated just next to a lake (which look a lot like a beach to me, and I have no idea why they call it "lake").
2. Their building are really impressive. Beautiful. Chio. Si beh chio.

Would have actually loved to stay longer, but then I don't think the other thought the same thing as me.

Where we had our lunch.

Kuhan - the guy who is meeting his friend.

Kuhan and his friend (forgot his name)

They think that my hair looks funny and I should hide it under my cap.

And so I did.

Ying Bing, James (a super nice guy, and I mean SUPER), Xin Yi.

Northwestern University's building all look really 古典. Which I like a lot.

Think it looks a bit like Drake's Old Main.

Don't know what building. But think it looks chio.

The whole campus actually looks really chio. And I heard Northwestern Uni are pretty famous for their MBA. Hmmm...which gives me an option already if I am doing MBA. =P

We lepak at the "lake" for a bit after touring the campus a little.

Everybody looked good. Except me.

Lepak-ing

After lepak at the beach, we went to chill at "Cold Stone", which is actually an ice-cream shop which serves really rich and good ice cream.

And oh, did I mention this. Ying Bing keep on wanting to take a photo with Kuhan, but Kuhan keep on don't want to take photo with her. In the end, I had to take this secretly for her.

I think both of them looks kind of cute, no?

What to do. I guess I am really not photogenic. Looks bad on every photo.

Thanks for the hug from Singapore though

And the kiss.
And the love even though I might be awful-looking in most the photos.

And you know that it's the same for me. Even though you might be really good-looking and making me really jealous.
