Of That Silly Gal

First off, my deepest and most sincere thanks to both of you.
You know who you are.
:)
Thanks for checking up on this blog even though it went into comatose for so long.

This post is for that silly gal.
That silly gal I knew back when I started out on my first step towards achieving my dreams in INTI.That silly gal who smiled in front of everyone else, but secretly cried behind everyone's back.

I am really happy for you.
It means a lot to know that you're better. Its hard to tell you how glad I am, but I am.
When you're back here, just let me know.
I hope I can be there to welcome you back.Don't know what else to say, but then again ... I hope I don't have to say much.

I owe you so much more than you ever know.
Thank you
:)

Of 0610

In case you haven't heard, I had a bet with Charine and Ou Ou over the breakfast just last Saturday.
The bet? A 6-pack abs by 310110.
The stake? Undecided.

They think it is impossible for me.I respectfully disagree. As Adidas puts it "Impossible is nothing"

So I took up the bet.By 310110, I am gonna sport a shiny 6-pack abs. Hmmm ... that sounds like I'm promoting some tyres or what. No. Wait. Tyres sound very wrong. *Touch wood*

By 310110, I am gonna sport a solid 6-pack abs.

For that, I have decided to set up a separate blog that I will try to update as frequent as possible on my efforts towards it. It will serve as a testament to the work I put in as well as something to look back at.

0610:6 packs. 2010. Enough said.

Of One Step Closer

Dear Silly Girl,

Been so long since I've called you that. Not sure whether you retained your silliness throughout all these years
=)

First of all.Congratulations.Putting aside all those worrisome things you have to worry about, this is still a day worthy of remembrance... because it signifies the end of a journey ... and the start of a new one.Being able to wear the square cap is not an easy feat. Though we frequently say the streets are full of people with a degree ... you have worked hard for the past years to obtain yours. So congratulations. You have earned your right to throw that cap up high.

I am glad I called you earlier. It is really nice to hear about your news and to know how you're doing ... your thoughts about the future and some tidbits of your life ... now I know I have a professional to consult when I need to write some *ahem* letters.I am sorry that our chat had to end earlier. But in any case ... I am glad to hear you're well and happy.Although we can't chat on MSN as frequently as we used to ... hopefully we will still be able to talk like we always do.Perhaps you're "entertaining" me more than I am to you. =)

Thanks for your concern all these years.I am glad to know there is a person I can trust so much in this life of mine ... despite my cynicality and my pessimism on human nature on general.Hahaha.I believe like everything in this life ... there is a lesson behind the things that happened.Hopefully I have learnt my lessons.Thank you is not enough to express my gratitude for your concern.

Retain your silliness.Don't lose that innocence of yours easily.Even in this bitter bitter world.Remember to let me know whenever I can be of help.

Lastly ...

Hopefully you can find the key that unlocks your future. You will have my best wishes and blessings for everything.Congratulations.You're one step closer.

Sincerely,
'god'

p/s: 2 years!You can do it!

Of C H A & A.C.

Well, since Da Jie already officially announced it on her blog, I guess I will want to advertise it in mine too.

Remember that I mentioned I was working on a project?
Well, this is not it.I am still working on that project.Currently though, I am in the midst of C H A & A.C.

C H A & A.C. was inspired by the spirit of 3191.
For those who have not an inkling of 3191 ... here goes
It's a really cool site. To find out the story behind it, I guess you can go Amazon and look for their book - 3191: A Year of Mornings.
The description roughly describes what the site is about.

So, in the spirit of 3191, we decided to start a 13.
13 hours apart.(Without daylight saving)
2 mornings.
1 passion.
The ... "rules" if you may say so ... for the blog is that ...
1. Morning posts
2. No communication on what pictures to take

And from there. We see what we get.

I am really excited about this collaboration with Da Jie.Not only does it force me to really look at the snaps I took, it has also shown me some interesting mornings I could never have known if I buried myself in my books.
Don't get me wrong.I still love my books. But to look at every morning in a different light.
It reveals the glory that is created.

The weather may suck.
But, there is always something interesting around.

So ... C H A & A.C. - 13 hours.
Admittedly, those snaps are not the best you have seen. But we try.And we strive to grow.
And hopefully in time to come. You'll really like the website as much as I do.

Of a life divided, proportionated and deducted.

For those who have been wondering why I have been away, I am here to give some explanations.
I am sorry especially to Da Jie for making you wait for this.
I should have messaged you on MSN, but I was really away for some time.
And to all those who cared, I am sorry I left in a sudden.

Here is my two major reason on why I left. Suddenly. With a short notice.

First major reason would be because I was having exam. My external paper for the actuarial study. Sadly though, I failed it, yet again. Hmmm...you know, some people think that when you have given everything you could, and yet failed, you should feel like the whole world owes you, cause you gave everything you could. So technically, you should sulk and make the world sulk with you or at least make them feel that you are really pitiful, and they should give in to you.
No?

Frankly speaking, apart from some feelings of irritation and of course some disappointment, that I have to re-take the exam, I felt surprisingly ... hmmm... joyful?
I would say, I truly gave a lot for this exam. I wouldn't say I went all out though.
Heh. That would be an outright lie.
Still, failing the exam make me realize I am more human than usual. Susceptible to failure, hurt, and emotions.
And yes, I am still feeling irritated that I have to re-take the exam. Oh well, comes what may, I would face it somehow.
So yes, my exam kept me away from posting. I was really studying for it ok?
Didn't even open my MSN.

Second major reason was my break-up with Pei Er. Some of you may have know this. Some may not. But for those who did not, now you do. I just felt that I need some time away from people, from things, from...well...basically from everything. Just to sort out my thoughts.

Suddenly having back a part of my life that has already been given up thrown me into a little confusion. I did not know what to do with it.

Truth to be told, I don't really feel like "discussing" my break-up over here. I personally feel that it kinds of desensitize everything.
And yes, if you are still curious and concerned, you can ask questions. Just not here, ok?
=)

Anyway, I would say I have come to terms with it, and am now slowly working out my way on how to handle the other part of life that has been given back to me.

So yes. That were my reasons.

Being away from so much, made me think a lot of my own life. I have only realized how much I have taken things for granted all along when I stopped and wondered what I want to do with this life. I only knew who really mattered in my life when I stopped and take notice.
Cliche.
But, it's the whole truth.

Somehow, I don't think I have been living this life honestly.
I have made up a lot of lies for myself, and making myself believing that it is the truth.
I have also made up a lot of lies about myself, and making others believe that it is the truth.

I realized how disappointed and sad I am with myself, when I finally took time to face myself.
I realized that I don't even know who I really am, with all those "personalities" I have.

Which side of "Chung Chin" have you gotten known to?

Whichever side it is, I hope that the Chung Chin you know now, is the one that I really want to be. Honest. And sincere.

Thank you JiaJia. You may not realize it. But, I think you're a "Goddess" to me more than I am a "God" to you. I sincerely hope I can build a good relationship with your husband. That way, our relationship won't get awkward, and I get to have another good friend.

To all those who asked, and cared, I love you all.
Always do.

Of July 4th

American Independence Day?
Yes. Perhaps.
But, that's not the reason I wrote this entry.
It's because of Da Jie, you!

Ok la, you actually graduated some time back then. But then, today is the day (in Asia at least) that you're officially a degree holder.
Totally sorry that I am missing it.

Hope that you're enjoying the boring talk, in your hot graduation suit, and that your mortar board does not drop.
=P
Joking.

Still, my sincere congratulations to you my dear Da Jie.
